John Oliver - Principal

John Oliver is fourth generation Texan, born in Tyler, Texas and raised in Austin. Oliver graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in business. Following graduation he was a Commissioned Officer in the US Army with the MP Corps for 8 years, with two years of active duty in Germany and Fort Hood, Texas.

Following his Army duty, Oliver worked 10 years in the Banking Industry in Texas, working as a Bank Examiner for the State of Texas Banking Department, then 8 years as a Commercial Lending Officer with City National Bank of Austin. After leaving CNB, Oliver worked in the Real Estate and Private Investment Industry, founding and selling numerous business entities. In the late 80’s Oliver began his career in the Insurance Industry.

Mr. Oliver is married to Ingrid Albrecht Oliver and has three children, Patricia Van Doren and Stacey Oliver of Austin, and Johanna Oliver of Miami, Florida.
